Thanks Mom
...for giving Matix a better sense of balance (finally). Oops! Did I just think that or say it out loud?

End of Summer
Whoops, I thought I put this one up already.
Summer's ending, Matix is in school, and I have a few pictures left to put up for the family (as usual). Here's some more pictures of the kids at the splash pad at Nolan Park a few weeks ago. For the life of me, I couldn't keep Matix from drinking the water. I tried to explain that it's the same stuff that all the other kids have probably pee'd but it just made him laugh. The tactic failed miserably. Keira was being shy and hanging to my shoulder so pictures were difficult and few.

Crazy Train
For those of you who did not go to Yosemite, I took a picture today of the bicycle set up that I rigged as a joke, yet became pretty useful for transportation. You know, the crazy bicycle train which seemed to attract the attention of several Japanese tourists. Well, I've set it up again for riding around town. I think many of the neighbors are somewhat accustom to my shenanigans though which takes some of the fun out of the oddball antics.

Aerial Tram
The kids are not the best sleepers at night and after having company over for several days, their routine was thrown off, which meant, I had far less sleep than I have had in a long while. Rather than being cranky with the kids, I decided to take them for an outing on Wednesday to Snowbird. We rode up the Snowbird aerial tram to the top and walked around for a while. The only rule the tram operator gave the guests was to not toss or roll rocks down the hill. Of course the one thing they wanted to do while walking around the top was to toss or roll rocks down the hill. They thought it was great and I thought it was much better than cleaning the house.

Splashing Around
The city installed a water playground, the splash pad at Nolan Park, which opened this summer. It's not water park calibre but, either way, it's a nice additional perk to living in the middle of nowhere (according to friends). I like it because I can still take the kids outside to play when it is hot and, I don't have to take my shirt off while playing in the water because it is still sociably acceptable.
