Provo Canyon and Youtube Video Editor

I've been trying to find a good excuse to use the video camera on my phone since it just bumped up to 720p (or so they say) quality recordings. Well, the picture is better but the sound is like it was recorded with... a phone. Ha ha ha! How's that?

Anyway, it's nice to have a decent camera always with me which came in handy when I decided to make a trip to Bridal Veil Falls while running an errand in Provo. Matix was pretty excited when he saw the falls and wanted to take the trail to the base of the falls. As you'll see, we didn't make it. Matix needs a lesson in climbing. Not every kid grows up with a huge backyard that's mostly hill at a perfect angle to slide down on your butt to tear a hole in your pants. Yeah, good times.

Well, I had several clips of videos taken while at the falls on my computer and I was about to edit them together with the program on my computer when I stumbled across the video editor on Youtube. I thought, why not give it a try. It's fairly strait forward. Pick a video from your collection, drop it into the edit time line, edit the clip down to what you want, string several clips together and add transitions if wanted. It's not bad.

If you want to do this with some of your own videos, all you need to do is log into your Youtube account and enter www.youtube.com/editor into the URL bar.
